March 26, 2009 - Ghenoa delivered her first foal and has therefore completed her Elite Mare requirements (as soon as I send in for the registration papares of course). Meet our new baby Wrizsotto on her own page!
December 23, 2008 - Our newest equine resident arrived the week before Christmas. Stella Bella is Hannah's new riding pony. More pics and information to follow in spring when it warms up and we can get some nice pictures of the two of them.
May 16, 2008 - Double WHOOT! EMC Ghenoa was confirmed in foal to Wamberto on her 16-day check. Hopefully everything will continue to go well and we will have a healthy new foal here next April.
May 14, 2008 - WHOOT! The Copper Bay Farm Website is launched. I finally took the time to create my own site after working on other people's websites for years. There are still some blanks to fill in on the horses's pages and more photos to load, but for now enjoy!
May 5, 2008 - Hannah had her first official riding lesson today with my former hunt seat trainer Sue Casale at Pipe Dream Farm. She did great and was steering "Folly" an 18-year-old QH mare all by herself! I promised not to take pictures the first day (nerves) but am sure we will have plenty to share soon!
April 30, 2008 - EMC Ghenoa was bred to the 2007 100-Day Stallion Performance Test winner Harmony's Wamberto. We believe she ovulated the following morning. Fingers crossed for the pregnancy test on 5/16! My order is in for a bay foal with just a bit of bling.
March 15, 2008 - Zignature "Ziggy" arrives! Finally, after a foal watch that lasted forever with "Yours Truly", a maiden pony mare and an unknown due date, our mystery foal was born at 1:15 a.m. and up and about in less than 30 minutes. Truly is being a great first-time mom and was nickering and licking him before he was all the way out. I was so shocked to see that zigzag of white on his neck as he was coming out we modified the original name of Signature (because that's what follows "Yours Truly") to include the Z. He's been zipping around the farm since his arrival so it is very fitting. We are really thrilled with him considering no one knew Truly was in foal until November when we bought her from a friend that does pony rescue in Kentucky! No idea who papa is, but it is a sure bet he's not plain! For more info, visit Ziggy's page.
